Typical SMR Hydrostrut
Hydrostrut Features

  1. SMR's "Double-Seal" sealing system reduces the possibility of leakage. The Seals are rated to -65 deg. F (-54 deg. C) and +200 deg. F (+93 deg. C) and are easily obtainable. The Buffer Seal reduces the pressure on the Primary Seal for longer seal life. Seals are rated to 5000 PSI.

  2. "HYDROSTRUT" suspensions utilize larger bore diameters to reduce the operating pressure on the seals and internal parts. 1500 PSI peak operating pressures as opposed to some OEM peak pressure of 20,000 PSI.

  3. SMR "HYDROSTRUT" Suspensions use high-strength Manganese bronze upper and lower bushings. Tensile strength 110,000 min., Yield strength 60,000 min. and Compressive strength 60,000 psi.

  4. All suspensions come with a Protective Boot that helps protect chrome from rock damage and helps prevent contaminants from entering suspension. Boots with zippers are also available for field installation.

  5. All "HYDROSTRUT" Suspensions come filled with the correct amount of suspension oil (Conoco Power Tran III or C-4 equivalent). All side-loading suspensions come filled with suspension oil plus a "Lubricating Additive" that molecularly bonds to all metal, bronze and chrome parts. This added lubrication lengthens the operating life of the suspension. Customer to charge with Nitrogen Gas (N2).

  6. The simplicity of the SMR designed "HYDROSTRUT" suspension allows for few moving parts and provides for trouble free operation. Lower rebuild cost than rubber, elastomer, silicon or neocon struts. Suspension can be adjusted for ride performance in any application or temperature.

  7. A nitrogen charging kit is available - order part #0299B.

  8. 100,000 hours plus of proven service in Canadian and U.S. mines. Users list available upon request.

  9. All SMR "HYDROSTRUT" inline Suspensions come with a 10,000 hour or 2 year warranty.
